Consultant Internist & Diabetologist.

Graduated from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He obtained his master’s degree of science in medical laboratory sciences from Fairleigh Dickinson University New Jersey USA. After graduating from St. Georges university medical school in Grenada, he pursued specialty training at Yale university hospital and St Raphael hospital, USA.  New Jersey, USA. Post-graduation he worked in private practices in North Carolina and Virginia, USA. He joined Tawam Hospital in Al Ain where he practices as consultant Diabetologist and internist. He is a clinical assistant professor (adjunct) at the UAE university, Faculty of medicine and Health sciences. He enrolled in the diabetes master program at Cardiff University, UK. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of integrative Holistic Medicine. He is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the American Diabetes Association. Dr. Askheta is actively involved in several clinical research trials. He represents the medicine department in the quality improvement committee at Tawam Hospital. He supervises medical students and residents during their rotations at Tawam Hospital
